EL RENO  GRASCAR ASSOCIATION

​1.      It is mandatory that each racing team own / possess a ABC rated fire extinguisher minimum of 5lbs. that is readily  accessible in the event of a fire.

ALL PUSHERS must have ABC rated 5lb min. fire extinguisher attached to 4-wheelers or pushing vehicle
2.        There are numerous trash containers around the track, PLEASE use them.
3.       Drivers and pit crew admission into the racing area signifies your acceptance of and compliance with all provisions.
4.      Drivers and pit crew admission into the racing area signifies your acceptance to be photographed and or videotaped for promotional use of El Reno Grascar Association, albeit for use in Printed promotional publication, Internet, Broadcast, or any other use of your image or likeness.
5.     If you do not wish for your image or likeness to be used for Not for Profit use you must submit in writing to El Reno Grascar Association prior to the first race of the season.
6.      All entrants must fill out an entry form in completion for each race.
7.    All spectators must stand at least 20 feet from fence around the pit area and or anywhere around the track for safety reasons.
 8.   Only vehicles with racers attached shall be allowed in the pit area.
9.    Exceptions, water truck, tractors and pushers.
10.    All persons entering the pit area must pay for a pit pass (Under 9 years of age free) and read and acknowledge by signature on our form, releasing the El Reno Grascar Association from any claim of personal injury or damages.
11.      Any Racing Participant under the age of 16 must have a parent or guardian present at the track at all times while participant is in the pit area or on the racing surface.
12.    All items including but not limited to tow vehicles, tools, mowers, etc. are brought into the racing competition area at the individuals own risk.
13.    Pit passes will be issued to all people entering the pits and will and must be worn in plain sight.  Racer owners are responsible for making sure that all of their team members and guests have pit passes.
14.    No Alcohol Consumption for Drivers and or Track Officials until the end of your last race of the evening for safety reasons.
15.    Violators of this policy will be suspended for the rest of that days race event.
16.    All Grascar attendants will conduct themselves in a professional
    manner while on the Grascar premises.
17.    Arguments, poor sportsmanship, and use of offensive language and or gestures in behavior of their crewmembers.  front of the spectators, officials or any attendant will not be tolerated and will result in the suspension of the driver and crew until proper arrangements are made with the Association President and/or Vice-President.
18    It will be the track Flagman’s responsibility to inform the President and/or Vice-President of infractions on the racing Surface.
19.     Fighting will not be allowed under any circumstances you will be suspended per president/vice-president discretion.
20. .    After any 2nd offense this will result in suspension for the rest of the season.
21.     It will be specifically understood that all drivers, owners, and pit crew are independent agents and are not track directors.
22.     No Mud Laps No Hot Laps
23.     The flagman/official(s) will address the drivers and crew before the start of every race.
24.     While the Offical has the floor he/she will have everyone’s attention and order.
25.    All Grascar drivers, owners, and pit crew are invited to join the El Reno Grascar Association. Dues are $20.00 per person/year or $30.00 for two (two people from the same family) $10.00 for each additional same family member and entitle you to vote on issues at regular meetings and discounts at Smith’s Distributing.
26.    First time lawnmower racers must race the Beginner Class, except Elgin Class, Over 40, and Powder Puff Class.
27.    The mower Beginner Class is meant to be just beginners for that reason.
28.    Before a mower driver may move up into a class, they must have completed 7 races and have the option to be voted up. After a Beginner entrant has 3 wins in the feature race he/she must move up in the class order. If you have raced one season in the beginner’s class, you are required to move up.
29.    The next mower class division must vote on allowing the driver to move up into a class if wanted by the beginner entrant after they have raced 7 full races.
30.    If for some reason this is not possible because of the number of mowers then the track official that makes the line up will decide along with the other attending track officials on the class placement.
31.    All mower drivers must wear full length  pants ,long sleeve shirts  closed-toed shoes or boots, a minimum DOT approved helmet full face, neck brace, and chest protectors. 
32.    All mowers and vehicles operated in the pit area will be driven slowly and safely, preferably at idle.
33   The 50/50-race order will be determined before the first race by drawing of numbers.  This will be the racing order for the year.
34.    Three racers of selected class must take the green flag in the heat and feature race for the class that will be running in the 50/50 race. Two racers of selected class must be left after the feature race to run the 50/50 race.
35.    To qualify for a 50/50 race, a driver must have entered and taken a green flag in both his/her heat and feature race.  It is not possible to enter just the 50/50 race.
36    Each Grascar and driver will enter as a team and can only qualify
    one Grascar per class.  No driver will be permitted to change their Grascar after taking a green flag in a heat race in that class.
37.    Major components may be changed on racer, but racer chassis and driver must compete as a team after the start of the heat.
38.    It is the officals decision on whether a racer may be worked on while on the track.  
39.    Racers must not be leaking fuel or excessive oil at any point during the race.
40.    Any Racer that delays the start of a race will start at the back of the lineup (only exception is if driver is changing racers for different class) THREE Yellow Flags and you are out of that race.
41.    The race will start on the exit of turn 4.
42.    It will be the driver in the pole position deciding the speed of the restart. It will be the flagman’s decision to restart the race if an uneven start occurs.
43..    Racers will draw for the starting position of the heat race. Feature line up is the finishing order of heat race
44.    The lineup for each race will be posted on the white marker board in the pit area.  It is the responsibility of each driver to know where he/she lines up.
45.    A GREEN flag means go racing.
46.    YELLOW flag means caution with no passing.
    If a racer causes a YELLOW flag, or if a racer is involved in a YELLOW and comes to a stop that racer goes to the back. If you didn't cause the caution, line up in front of caution karts/mowers  The restart order will be determined by the score keeper when the racers come back around to the flag stand. After the first lap, restarts will be single file and orderly.  If first lap is not completed then all racers will line up in original order at flag mans discretion. if on the first lap the front two racers cannot get a clean start after two attempts it will be decided by the official to send front row or only one to the back row.   During the 1st OR last lap If you come to a complete stop on the track you will be sent to the back.
IF A BLACK FLAG IS CALLED IT WILL OVER-RULE THE CAUTION.
47.    RED flag means STOP!  Do not go around the track.  Do not do anything but stop your racer and wait for the Flagman to wave The YELLOW for the restart.
48.    A rolled BLACK flag pointed at a racer means that the flagman Is warning you. A full BLACK Flag waved at a racer means the racer leaves the racing surface immediately that the flagman removed him / her from the race.
49.    There will be no arguing about the flagman’s decision. He/She has the final word about driver expulsion from a race.
50.    A rolled, crossed white flag with green flag signals the half way point of the race. White flag signals the last lap of a race.
51.    Remember we are here to have fun and if the rules are not to your liking then the El Reno Grascar Association would suggest you stay home or go play golf!
52.    For mowers and yard karts Driver must be 14 years of age or older, with exception of the mower Stock Class 10yrs old & Junior Yard Kart Class 5yrs old. 

53. If racer racing multiple classes has NEXT race while they are on track their kart/mower MUST be at staging area to switch.

UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT
 
1. Fighting on premises will result in IMMEDIATE REMOVAL
      Individual basis are responsible for own conduct leading up to if not whole crew
 2. Any display of unsportsmanlike conduct (on or off the track) will result in SUSPENSION, IMMEDIATE REMOVAL FROM RACE AREA, POINT PENALTIES, OR ALL OF THE ABOVE.
 3. Any visual, verbal or physical abuse of any Grascar official (on or off the track) will result in SUSPENSION, IMMEDIATE REMOVAL FROM RACE AREA, POINT PENALTIES, OR ALL OF THE ABOVE
 
TECH RULE
Teching every class that has tech rules

Failure to tech will result in a 2 consecutive race suspension for Kart & driver
Plus loss of points to date.
Kart must pass tech on return before race.

Failure of tech after completion of race will result in loss of all points to date
With 1 race suspension

Tech is at President/Vice President discretion
